Sensory play!

I saw this idea on a blog I read a few times a week. This woman has a daughter a little older than Jackson and I have been reading her blog since she (and I!) were pregnant.  She has a great playroom for her daughter and posted about this idea some time ago.

When I was clearing stuff out of the nightmare holiday closet in our basement I found one of the wrapping paper boxes that she used for her daughter's sensory "table."

I wanted to do this for Jackson but it became a joke when we couldn't find dried beans anywhere.  Finally we found them, dumped them in and introduced Jackson!  He played for a good half hour and only tried to eat the beans three or four times.  Ha.  Here are some pictures.  Video shortly!
Daddy is pouring beans!

Tootsies

Beans are hilarious.

Beans are serious.

Spoon!
